Drowned in the Moonlight

Updated: May 14, 2020

I had the honor of being part of the group show "Drowned in the Moonlight" at The Modbo Gallery in downtown Colorado Springs during the month of March. The show featured artwork made in tribute to celebrities who died in 2016. I knew that there would be plenty of David Bowie tributes and effigies of Prince, so I wanted to pay honor to one of the classier public figures who died last year. I did extensive visual research on John Glenn (may he rest in peace) before decided to do a quick sketch of Nancy Davis Reagan. I didn't know that she was so beautiful when she was young. I was glad to have her represented in the gallery as an important American figure.
